I changed to the yellow last week (stole it from the new dwr or was it west elm palette), totally coincidental that it coordinated with your lovely set/wardrobe!

YAY!!!!!!!! everyone loves what they’ve seen so far, sarah you rock my world  I have the wonderful opportunity of traveling to Chicago to shoot a few times per year. If it’s a wintertime shoot I am usually a little obsessed with the weather the week before I arrive as anyone who has lived there will tell you winter weather can be unpredictable. On my last trip in late November we lucked out with an unseasonably warm weekend. I have a bunch of shoots to share from that trip that I will intersperse with Bay area shoots over the next few weeks. I’ll be posting more frequently so please stay tuned. by Sarah 3 comments

just got this from the mom. i especially love my job when i know my clients are happy: Sarah, THANK YOU! we have had many compliments on the pictures. It goes without saying that Arabel warmed up to you so quickly because you are such a kind, approachable person. You have such a good rapport with children and a talented eye for taking unique, memorable photos. Please let us know when you plan on coming back… we have many interested friends.

So cute! Love the ones with the net and the window!  sister, -noun; a female offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; female sibling. If this is a the technical definition of ‘sister’ then I would argue ‘little sister’ needs a definiton all its own. It might go something like this: little sister, -noun; female offspring, prone to lifelong torment of older sister including profound levels of mimickry, stealing of prized possessions including clothing and jewelry, never-ending admiration and obsessive tendencies toward older sister, and last but not least dramatic personality traits which are known to cause great duress to older sister. by Sarah 4 comments

Thanks Sarah. I love the photos and the sisters, they are beautiful. I want to look at all my tri-x negs of you and Erin and make a sisters book!  I couldn’t help but share a few quick selects from Faith’s shoot in Sonoma. Faith is a kids model for City Models, here in San Francisco and most recently was the cover image for the Crewcuts catalog this summer. Your work is beautiful, and I absolutely love this shoot!  I had so much fun yesterday photographing a handsome young man named Ryan Nelson for a local modeling agency. We shot in three separate locations around the city but my favorite was outside of St. Francis Fountain in the Mission. Thanks again to the owners and staff of SFF for accommodating us and for making the excellent sundae! Thanks as well to Eugenia for assisting and to Megan and Annemarie for the incredible styling and wardrobe. Last but not least to Ryan and his mom for being so fun to work with!
