Naturally, I meet quite a lot of kids. One of my favorite things about them is that their personalities differ wildly in kids of the same age. I was reminded of this when I met Jin and his family recently in the East Bay.

Thanks so much Sarah for the wonderful images. You have an amazing talent!  sister, -noun; a female offspring having both parents in common with another offspring; female sibling. If this is a the technical definition of ‘sister’ then I would argue ‘little sister’ needs a definiton all its own. It might go something like this: little sister, -noun; female offspring, prone to lifelong torment of older sister including profound levels of mimickry, stealing of prized possessions including clothing and jewelry, never-ending admiration and obsessive tendencies toward older sister, and last but not least dramatic personality traits which are known to cause great duress to older sister. by Sarah 4 comments

Thanks Sarah. I love the photos and the sisters, they are beautiful. I want to look at all my tri-x negs of you and Erin and make a sisters book!  I hope you’re enjoying Halloween today by stuffing your face with some treats. I wanted to share a few frames from a recent East Bay shoot with Sasha and her little sister, Delaney. A year ago I had the pleasure of photographing Sasha’s 2nd birthday; a fun, kid-filled event full of costumes and Halloween-inspired cupcakes. I was really excited to see the girls again and even though I see it all the time, I’m amazed how fast kids grow! Enjoy a few photos of these incredibly cute girls!  I’m processing like crazy today and most of the week, catching up on several family shoots, a wedding, and more. I wanted to share two images from a recent Oakland/Lake Temescal shoot with a wonderful family.
