Wow. It’s been busy. I hope you’re doing great and gearing up for the holidays (oh my!).

We’ve been busy doing lots of holiday shoots, some fun lifestyle shoots, and I’m producing a gigantic ranch shoot this Sunday in Healdsburg. I can hardly wait! Oh and did I mention we’ve got a fun event coming up with Heath Ceramics in Sausalito and Los Angeles – don’t miss this!

Also, we brought back mini-sessions for a limited time only. I’ll be posting a few more details but essentially these are 30 minutes sessions, perfect for holiday cards and gifts and we’re doing both on-location (Golden Gate Park and Crissy Field) as well as in-studio at a really great price! Email us to find out more and get on the schedule!

Finally, isn’t this the most lovely and colorful family? I just adore them.

We had an amazingly gorgeous day today in SF. I hope you had a beautiful day, too. I had a quick lunch with old friends near Chinatown so I popped over there for a few minutes to grab some tea. Even though we live about 2 miles from Chinatown I’m not often there. It’s such a lovely neighborhood – the biggest Chinatown in the US (I think). And it’s total visual overload for photographers – not to mention all the props you can acquire there. I picked up some Buckwheat tea at Blest Tea (like genmai cha but with buckwheat – delicious) and one of these cute egg shapers that I’ve seen on a few blogs lately. They are meant for kid’s bento boxes in Japan but fun for all ages don’t you think?

After a million other errands I finally ended up back at the studio processing files. I opened my Europe folder and got a tinge of sadness missing my European travel companions. My mom, sister, and niece Elsa all live on the East Coast in Pennsylvania. I wish they were much, much closer. I adored our girls trip to Europe and would encourage you to leave the men at home sometimes and travel with the ladies in your family. It was such an incredible trip and I hope we do it again.

Do you travel with family often? I hope to blog a little more about that trip one day soon…waiting for a rainy day.

I knew this was going to be a good shoot. Here’s why: 1. Hudson bolted for a laundromat the minute he got out of the car. 2. We were shooting on one of the most colorful streets in San Francisco. 3. Lots and lots and lots of smiles…oh and those curls. 4. And finally, there’s nothing cuter than a little boy with chocolate ice cream.

I got to meet this little guy yesterday in his incredible home in the Berkeley Hills (talk about amazing views). Lucas you were so very sweet. Thank you for a fun shoot! I’m finally climbing back on top of my to-do list. What a busy year! Now that I’m feeling back on top of things (more or less) I thought I’d share this fitting image of Sloan & Caroline photographed recently on top of their playhouse. Don’t worry, no children were injured in the making of these images (teehee). Thanks to Sloan & Caroline for being such good sports! Aren’t they adorable?

I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend wherever you may be. I’m prepping today for a commercial shoot with another excellent kids company. In the meantime enjoy a recent portrait session in Chicago, IL with baby Ned. This little guy was such a great subject. His parents are lovely people and fed me some delicious chocolate croissants and coffee. Their home is amazing and incredibly unique. I hope to share more soon.

I’ll be out of the office the rest of the week. I’ll be checking in most evenings but bare with me until I’m back online again on Friday.

Hello there. I’ve been on the road for a little over a week (apologies if you’re waiting to hear from me). I’ve had a little family time mixed with a few really special shoots. One in particular was baby Whistler in Chicago. Whistler’s parents are dear friends of mine (and the husband) and we have been so happy to welcome him into the world. I can’t wait to share more!
