A big thank you to Cathy, Robin, Adam and the rest of the Heath Ceramics gang in Sausalito and Los Angeles. We always have so much fun hanging out and doing the annual photobooths. Also, a big thanks to all the kids and families who participated. I’ll have the gallery up tomorrow evening – just in time to share with friends and family over Thanksgiving.

We’ve been busy doing lots of holiday shoots, some fun lifestyle shoots, and I’m producing a gigantic ranch shoot this Sunday in Healdsburg. I can hardly wait! Oh and did I mention we’ve got a fun event coming up with Heath Ceramics in Sausalito and Los Angeles – don’t miss this!

Also, we brought back mini-sessions for a limited time only. I’ll be posting a few more details but essentially these are 30 minutes sessions, perfect for holiday cards and gifts and we’re doing both on-location (Golden Gate Park and Crissy Field) as well as in-studio at a really great price! Secondly, I wanted to thank my husband Joe for being the Modern Kids Thank You Picnic MVP. He not only helped out all day including setting up and tearing down but also created some really awesome stuff for our party. He made me custom sandwich boards (which I painted with chalkboard paint) to help steer people our way as well as my absolute favorite gift of the day, custom camera necklaces for the kids. I hope everyone who stopped by was able to take one home. Rod Hunting an awesome designer in Chicago made the drawings. We had two kinds an old twin lens reflex Mamiya and a Holga. They were laser-cut out of a really nice brown/gray mat board and he even included my website on the front, how clever. The only problem with them was that many of the babies were disappointed to find out that they were not edible. Perhaps next year we’ll try chocolate. Seriously, though thanks to my awesome husband!

Also, a big thanks goes to everyone who helped make it such a fun day including Bess, Camille, and Caleb for showing up early and helping us set up. To Eugenia, Lisa, and Sara for their mad party-planning skills (and Sara’s mustache making abilities). To Darach for the use of his van. Milton for the table and Eugenia’s family for the table and canopy. Finally to Nate for making our party even better with his sweet tunes. And last but not least everyone who provided prizes for our picnic including Heath Ceramics, Dante Beatrix, FilmMonsters, Petit Appetit, and more…thank you all!
