Thanks, Anna. She was so much fun. Yes, actually, I do get lots of natural light in the studio which is great but it makes it hard to shoot on cloudy/rainy days. For most of V.’s shoot I was barely using the strobe, really just filling and bringing things up a stop. Actually, that’s pretty typical for how I shoot with a strobe in client’s homes as well. It’s always nice to have a little more flexibility with light. Thanks, Anna!

Sheesh! V is gorgeous. Gorgeous! And so much personality. Sarah, is your studio one that works with natural light? Bc if this is studio lighting, dang, you’ve got that natural feeling going on! Wow..adorable little girl and AMAZING photos. Looks straight out of a jcrew ad!  I couldn’t help but share a few quick selects from Faith’s shoot in Sonoma. Faith is a kids model for City Models, here in San Francisco and most recently was the cover image for the Crewcuts catalog this summer. Your work is beautiful, and I absolutely love this shoot!  I had so much fun yesterday photographing a handsome young man named Ryan Nelson for a local modeling agency. We shot in three separate locations around the city but my favorite was outside of St. Francis Fountain in the Mission. Thanks again to the owners and staff of SFF for accommodating us and for making the excellent sundae! Thanks as well to Eugenia for assisting and to Megan and Annemarie for the incredible styling and wardrobe. Last but not least to Ryan and his mom for being so fun to work with!
