Happy Monday, everybody. I saw the new Rue Magazine last week and loved the big, bright kids artwork on the wall in image #3 below. I thought I’d grab a few more examples for you.
Embracing the wonder, complexity, and joy of childhood. A journal for photography, kids fashion, kids design, kids products and more. San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York.
Modern Kids Photography focuses on the wonder, complexity, and joy of childhood.
My name is Sarah Wert and I am the primary photographer and owner of Modern Kids Photography, San Francisco. While everyone loves a smiling kid, that's not always what I look for. Children express themselves through many incredible emotions and I'm interested in capturing all their moods and unique personality traits. My goal is to give you not only a fun and enjoyable family photography session but to make unexpected, and indelible imagery you will never forget.
I'm on the road many times during the year. Contact me to inquire about my travel schedule, to book your portrait session, or just to say hello. I would love to hear from you!

![]() While everyone else seems to be plugging ahead into 2011, I’m still floating around in another world unable to put my head down and focus on tasks at hand. This happens to me every year but this year it’s a bit more profound. A year ago this month was a hard-time for my husband and our family. I’ve been reflecting on that sorrow-filled time and trying not to let it envelope me into a warm but empty cloak of depression. Instead I’m channeling those sad thoughts into something more hopeful, inspirational, and optimistic. Chelsey - Such a powerful moment in our lives, don’tcha think – when we realize being & making happy is our success & we’re better off not just not trying to “predict” what our audience wants … but not trying to “predict” what life & the universe have in store for us either. xoxo

![]() Last week I was helping my clients Bess + Camille create a wall of prints for their home to celebrate their pregnancy and their adorable son, Caleb. I was excited that they chose a bunch of mismatched frames in black and silver. We’re still working on the wall gallery but I promise to share once... by Sarah 2 comments Sarah - wow! that’s even more rare a straight guy with a really well-done wall gallery. hillary - my boyfriend has a great wall of framed art in mismatched frames. i think the key to his success was working at a frame store (during graduate school). |
