Family connections to our past are important to developing and maintaining a sense of place, a sense of personal and local identity, and add to our individual sense of purpose and belonging. Thanks for the comments! @jen I shot with the Contax 645 with the new Kodak Portra 220 and it was mostly fine except I have to rely the autofocus on the Contax which can sometimes feel like you’re wrestling an aligator. It’s a little difficult but the Blairs were so wonderful and patient so it went well. Thanks again!

Image 5 and 7 look amazingly like Carl Larsson paintings. Really beautiful work. You should always shoot with film! We forget what an art it is and the beautiful quality of the light and color. Really great!

Really great!  I love books. I especially love photography books. There is something so much more intimate about looking at imagery in a well-made book. I’m testing this size out with this excellent template from Design Aglow. My family’s bindery in Pennsylvania is going to do all the printing and sewing – can’t wait.
