Hello out there. What a busy month! I’m currently in Phoenix shooting for a totally awesome kids company, Boon, Inc (more about these guys soon). It’s amazingly hot here but I’m actually enjoying the weather compared to a chilly San Francisco. I’ve been working with such great team at Boon, hanging with a bunch of adorable little ones, and seeing some lovely, modern homes in Phoenix.

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing a group of talented, sophisticated, fun, and stylish 8th grade graduates from Black Pine Circle School in Berkeley. It was a lively graduation but we managed to do some graduation headshots and a few images in between. I don’t recall being this hip in the 8th grade....
I photographed an 8th grade graduation last night and was struck by how mature, stylish, and down-right gorgeous the 8th graders were – especially the girls. I don’t recall being very pulled together at that age and I’m sure there are images to prove it. Times have certainly changed! Enjoy a sneak-peek of a few of the graduates.

Agreed, Edyta! I’m always amazed how upcoming generations seem to be more and more on top of their style!
I’ve been excited to share this shoot with you for a little while. A few weekends ago I was shooting in Santa Barbara, California. One of my shoots was an incredibly gorgeous, kind-hearted, and talented fellow photographer, named Brit Mann and her charming and helpful photo-assisting husband, Grant. They are expecting the arrival of what-is-sure-to-be an amazingly gorgeous baby girl. I felt really honored to photograph them during such a special time.

This set has such a sincere/honest feel to them. Love the colors, the light and the couple! The mom honestly looks radiant.
The dress IS from Anthro, and all I did was move up a button on the halter to allow the midsection seam to sit above my belly. Thanks for the compliment Jody!
Oh man. I knew these were going to be beautiful, but honestly they’ve taken my breath away. Thanks for letting me help out for the day and meet this truly amazing couple (even though my light disc skills are sub-par, I am a primo location picker, right?).
