A few times a year I have the absolute pleasure of photographing a wedding. I do weddings by referral only so I typically know the bride + groom or quite often it’s a fellow photographer. I love weddings because 1) they are exciting and emotion-filled days full of love 2) they are fun challenge for a photographer, in one day you must be a travel, lifestyle, and portrait photographer as well as a photojournalist 3) and they are hard-work but it’s really rewarding to tackle a wedding and do your very best. I was joined by Kirsty Edwards who is awesome and allowed me to shoot lots of film.
I felt really lucky to photograph this past weekend for Kristen + Darren. They are friends of ours from Chicago who chose Northern California wine country for their destination wedding. They are such wonderful people and made my job quite easy – how gorgeous is Kristen?! Enjoy a few images from their big day.
